What is the Replit Desktop App

The Replit Desktop App is a redesigned, native app for Windows and Mac. It has the same experience you get on the web, so you can create apps, chat with Agent, and publish, all from one window. On top of that, it adds a few things only a desktop app can do:
  • Multitasking: Work across several Replit Apps at once.
  • Status signals: See at a glance when Agent needs you or finishes working.
  • Tab previews: Glance at your open apps without switching between them.

Getting started

Download the app

Go to the desktop app download page and download the version for your computer.

Install and open it

Open the downloaded file and follow the prompts to install. Launch the app when it finishes.

Sign in

Sign in with your Replit account, or create one if youโ€™re new. Everything you build stays in sync with replit.com.
Your apps, history, and settings are the same across the desktop app and the web. Start something on one and pick it up on the other.
