After time away, analyze Slack, Gmail, and Calendar for that window and write a return-to-work briefing in Notion: what happened, what needs a decision, what to reply to first, and what’s coming up this week. Agent should not dump every message, only what needs you.

Best for

  • Founders and managers who need a briefing after vacation or a conference, without reading everything.
  • Anyone handing coverage who needs a briefing the other person can act on.

Connectors

Before you start

Give Agent the dates you were away and which Slack channels and calendars matter. Connect Gmail, Slack, Calendar, and Notion.

Prompt the agent

What to expect

Agent produces a short briefing: decisions waiting, threads to answer, meetings to catch up on. It should not dump every message, only what needs you. Review the date window and the channels it used before you act on it. Open two threads from the briefing in Slack or Gmail and confirm they really need you. If it drafted replies, send one to yourself first.

Make it work for you

Troubleshooting

  • The briefing dumps every message: name the Slack channels and calendars that matter, and ask Agent to keep only decisions and asks directed at you. Ignore announcement-only channels.
  • It missed the days you were gone: give exact dates, including time zone, and confirm Gmail, Slack, and Calendar are connected for the same account you used while away.
  • Drafts don’t sound like you: paste a few of your real replies and ask Agent to match that voice before it writes anything you might send.
