A prospect asks whether your product supports a specific integration, permission, or workflow. Ask Agent to investigate your company’s codebase and explain what it finds in plain language. Get an answer you can check before replying, without reading the code yourself.

Best for

  • Sales teams preparing for technical questions during a demo.
  • Account executives checking a product capability before making a commitment.

Connectors

Before you start

You need access to repository-based development in your Replit workspace and to your company’s GitHub repository. See Code with Replit for availability. Connect GitHub with access to your company’s repository. Share its link and the prospect’s exact question. If you do not know which repository contains the feature, ask your product team for the right starting point. Use your company’s Replit team workspace, not a personal one, when working with company code.

Prompt the agent

What to expect

Agent uses your question to find the relevant parts of the codebase, follows how they work together, and translates its findings into an answer you can use in a sales conversation. If your question could mean different things, Agent asks for clarification. The response includes:
  • A direct answer: a plain-language explanation of what the product supports and how it works.
  • Conditions and limits: relevant restrictions, configuration requirements, and exceptions found in the code.
  • Supporting references: links to the files and functions behind the findings, so you or an engineer can verify them.
  • A draft prospect reply: a concise answer you can adapt, with technical details kept separate.
You can continue in the same chat to ask about an edge case, compare the findings with a prospect’s requirements, or simplify the reply. Agent uses the conversation’s context and investigates further when the follow-up needs more evidence. If the evidence is incomplete, Agent explains what it could confirm and lists the questions your product or engineering team still needs to answer.

Troubleshooting

Ask for a customer-facing explanation and keep code references in a separate section.
Confirm the repository and branch with your product team. Missing evidence is not proof that a capability does not exist.
Verify their plan, configuration, and deployed version through your team’s approved tools.
