The Replit Mobile App puts your projects in your pocket: pick up right where you left off, or build something new from scratch, wherever you are. Chat with Agent, edit your project, and publish to the web, with an interface optimized for touch.

Getting started

Follow these steps to install the app and create a project.

Install the app

  1. Navigate to the mobile app download page and install the app for your mobile device OS.
  2. Open the app and sign up for a new account or log in with an existing one. If you register for a new account, you must verify your email address to complete the process.

Start building

The home screen offers both paths:
  • Pick up where you left off: open a project under Recent Projects and keep going.
  • Build from scratch: describe what you want in the prompt box and send it. Agent starts building your project right away.
To start from a pre-built template or existing code instead, tap ⋮ in the top right, then choose Remix a Template or Import from GitHub.
Building a native iOS app? Use the Project Editor at replit.com to create, preview, build, or submit it. Native mobile app work is available in the Replit Android app where supported.

Select the artifact bar at the bottom to preview and switch between your project’s artifacts, such as the website and the canvas.

Mobile features

Voice input

Use the voice option in Agent’s prompt box to describe what you want to build or change, hands-free.

Live Activities

Follow along with Agent’s progress on the go. When Agent starts, you’ll see a notification: tap Allow on your lock screen, and you can check progress without opening Replit.

Notifications

Get updates that matter, wherever you are. Go to Settings and open Notifications (e.g. under User). Ensure Notifications is toggled on and tap allow if prompted. Replit notifies you when:
  • Agent needs your help
  • Agent is done working
  • There are important billing updates

Tablet Keyboard Mode

Connect a keyboard to your tablet for a creation experience optimized for larger screens. When you first open the Project Editor with a keyboard connected, you’ll be asked if you want to enable it. Go to Account > Keyboard Settings anytime to toggle it on or off.

Upgrade and billing

To upgrade to Core in the app, go to Account, tap Upgrade, choose your plan, and tap Continue with Core. Pro isn’t available for purchase in the mobile app; it must be purchased on replit.com. To use Agent beyond the credits included with your subscription, add a payment method for usage-based billing:
  • On the web: go to replit.com and open Settings → Account → Billing.
  • In the app (iOS in US only): open Settings → Billing (or Account → Billing).
