# Analyze your app funnel

> Ask where users drop off in your published app, then turn the answer into an interactive dashboard in the same chat.

export const AiPrompt = ({children}) => {
  return <CodeBlock className="relative block max-w-full overflow-x-hidden font-sans !whitespace-pre-wrap !break-words" style={{
    overflowWrap: "anywhere",
    wordBreak: "break-word"
  }}>
      <div className="pr-7" style={{
    whiteSpace: "pre-wrap",
    overflowWrap: "anywhere",
    wordBreak: "break-word"
  }}>
        {children}
      </div>
    </CodeBlock>;
};

Users are signing up for your app. Ask Replit where more of them could reach their first win,
then turn the answer into a dashboard you can check again. You don't need to know the final
output before you start. One question leads to an insight, and a follow-up makes it useful.

## Best for

* Founders who want to know where new users drop off before the first win.
* Product managers who need a funnel view without setting up a separate analytics tool.

## Before you start

You need a published app with [Project Analytics](/features/publishing/project-analytics). Funnel
questions use custom events, so add events for the key steps, such as sign up, first project, and
first share. Analytics questions are available on paid plans.

## Ask Replit

<AiPrompt>
  Look at the analytics for my project \[project name]. What is the funnel from
  sign up to \[first key action] looking like? Where can we increase activation?
</AiPrompt>

## Keep going

<AiPrompt>Make it an interactive dashboard.</AiPrompt>

## What to expect

Replit reads your project's aggregated analytics and reports each funnel step with its drop-off.
It points to the step with the largest loss and suggests what to try first. After the follow-up,
Replit builds a dashboard with the same steps, so you don't need to repeat the question.

Check one number in the dashboard against the **Growth** pane before you share it.

## Keep creating

<AiPrompt>
  Suggest three changes to the step with the biggest drop-off, and create a
  task in my project for the first one.
</AiPrompt>

<AiPrompt>
  Add a weekly view so I can compare activation before and after the change.
</AiPrompt>

## Troubleshooting

* **Replit can't find funnel data:** funnels need custom events. Ask Replit to add events for each step, publish, and wait for new traffic.
* **The numbers look low:** analytics only cover traffic after the events were added. Name the date range you want in your question.
