# Replit Desktop App

> The redesigned Replit Desktop App brings the full Replit experience to your computer, with native multitasking, status signals, and tab previews.

The <a href="https://replit.com/desktop" target="_blank">Replit Desktop App</a> brings the full Replit experience to your computer. Build with Agent in a dedicated app, with native touches you don't get in a browser tab.

## What is the Replit Desktop App

The Replit Desktop App is a redesigned, native app for Windows and Mac. It has the same experience you get on the web, so you can create apps, chat with Agent, and publish, all from one window. On top of that, it adds a few things only a desktop app can do:

* **Multitasking**: Work across several Replit Apps at once.
* **Status signals**: See at a glance when Agent needs you or finishes working.
* **Tab previews**: Glance at your open apps without switching between them.

## Getting started
